WelcomeThe Canadian Gay Open (CGO) presented by Babolat is a top-tier tournament sanctioned by the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA) World Tour, an organization that sanctions more than 70 events across the globe with more than 10,000 members worldwide, and growing. The CGO 2025 presented by Babolat is also affiliated with the Toronto Lesbian & Gay Tennis Association.
Social Events The CGO presented by Babolat also offers social events, including a Players' Welcome (Draw) Party on Friday evening (May 16th), a Happy Hour Social Event on Saturday afternoon (May 17th), and our Tournament Banquet Dinner on Sunday evening (May 18th). Charities In addition to the competition and the social aspects of the CGO presented by Babolat, we also have a philanthropic component. Since 1995, the CGO presented by Babolat has been giving back to the community and supporting local charities with donations totaling more than $35,000.
Tournament Statistics The CGO presented by Babolat attracts between 175-190 players annually from Canada and abroad. In 2024, approximately 45% of players came from the greater Toronto area and 30% from the rest of Canada. The remaining 25% were predominantly from the United States, with some also joining us from as far as Europe, Asia, and Australia.
